PASTORAL CARE / HOMEBOUND MINISTRY
We are Eucharistic Ministers dedicated to bringing the Body of Christ to those who are homebound due to illness and cannot attend Mass. With a team of 14 ministers, we visit parishioners weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, based on their needs. Our ministers meet every three months to share experiences and support each other in our mission. We follow a prayer guide during our visits to provide spiritual comfort along with Communion. We always need more volunteers to meet the increasing requests. If you feel called to join this fulfilling ministry, please contact the Parish Office at (510) 351-5050.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
Our mission is to support and uplift the poor in our community. We are dedicated to distributing food Monday through Friday at 4 PM and providing essential items such as clothing, toiletries, bus tickets, and gift cards to those in need. Additionally, we assist with rent and utilities whenever possible.
Our dedicated team of 15 members meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6 PM in the S.V.D.P. room attached to the gym. We are always eager to welcome new members who share our passion for helping others. For more information, please contact President LeNora Carroll at (510) 351-5050 ext. 2007.
We rely on the generosity of our community to continue our vital work. Your donations make a significant impact on the lives of those we serve. We are especially in need of the following items:
- Canned Vegetables
- Canned Fruits
- Boxed Pasta (Spaghetti)
- Boxed Macaroni & Cheese
- Canned Tuna
- Boxed Cereals
- Bags of Rice
- Jam
- Canned Soup
Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us make a meaningful difference. Your support is greatly appreciated and ensures that we can continue to provide these essential services.
Kindly bring your contributions to our Church basket or call (510) 940-8175 to schedule a drop-off at the SVDP Office. Thank you for your generous support and commitment to our mission.
SUNDAY COLLECTION COUNTERS
We need ministers to help count and prepare our collections for banking. This vital service ensures the accuracy and safekeeping of our parish funds and lightens the load for our parish staff. If you are responsible, careful, and conscientious, and can give a couple of hours every two weeks, please contact the Parish Office at (510) 351-5050. Join us in this important ministry and help support our parish community.
